Inside the new Department of Theater and Drama and Neal-Marshall Center A recent addition to campus, the Lee Norvelle Theatre & Drama Center and Neal-Marshall Black Culture Center serves as a central home for both the African American community and the academic programs of the Department of Theatre & Drama.

The Neal-Marshall facility, which was completed and dedicated in 2001, is named for IU's first African American male and female graduates. The Lee Norvelle facility, dedicated in 2004, is named for the founder of IU's Department of Theatre of Drama.
