A recent addition to campus, the Lee Norvelle Theatre & Drama
Center and Neal-Marshall Black Culture Center serves as a central
home for both the African American community and the academic programs of
the Department of Theatre & Drama.
The Neal-Marshall facility, which was completed and dedicated in 2001,
is named for IU's first African American male and female graduates. The
Lee Norvelle facility, dedicated in 2004, is named for the founder of
IU's Department of Theatre of Drama.
