A Top College Sports Town

Whether you want to watch some of the nation's premier student-athletes, participate in sports yourself, or just get a good workout, Indiana University Bloomington offers the best in fitness, sports, and recreation.

Sports Illustrated on Campus named Bloomington one of the nation's top 10 college sports towns for our blend of Big Ten athletics, our world-famous Little 500 bicycle race, and what the magazine called “perhaps the nation's top recreational-sports program.” No wonder Hoosier fans are among the most passionate in college sports.

Athletics

Our 24 men's and women's varsity teams make IU fans proud to wear cream and crimson. The Hoosiers have earned 24 national team championships—including 8 in soccer, 6 in swimming and diving, and 5 in basketball—and IU student-athletes have won more than 132 individual NCAA titles.
