Howard Professor of Journalism
As the Roy W. Howard Research Professor in the School of Journalism, David
Weaver studies journalists. Interacting with his students helps him stay updated on the latest
thinking and research about journalism and the media.
Weaver recently published a book with several other colleagues,
The American Journalist in the 21st Century, which was praised by the Society
of Professional Journalists with a Sigma Delta Chi Award for
excellence in journalism research.

Auction

you and you can help fund
professional development for your colleagues at the same time.
Bid on a cornucopia of items in the BPC Silent
Auction, including gift cards from local retailers, artwork,
handmade crafts, and much more. Your bid will support the BPC's
professional development grants program, which awards more than $5,000 a
year to Bloomington professional staff, as well as other worthy BPC
activities.
The BPC Silent Auction closes on Friday, November 21,
