Preparing Our Campus, Protecting You
Pandemic Flu

Recently, increased attention has been given to avian influenza (bird flu) and the threat of human pandemic influenza. Although the risk of an outbreak on campus is small, Indiana University takes this possibility very seriously. Planners from several IU departments have worked with Indiana, Monroe County, and Bloomington Hospital leaders to develop coordinated contingency plans that would be implemented in event of an outbreak. If such an outbreak occurs in the Bloomington community, updated public information will be provided at this site.

The following resources will keep you informed and prepared in the unlikely event that a case is reported.
