Teaching Online Engaging Studnets In Cyberspace

Offered in early August 2004
Specific times and days TBA

What should you know about teaching online? What should you expect from students? What do students expect from you? How can you get lively discussions going when people aren't even online at the same time? Dr. Hallett teaches a course for the School of Education on developing online curricula and has published on the subject in various journals of distance education. She will balance presenting some basic best practices with ways to get students to engage with the material and even participate in active learning exercises in cyberspace.

Presented by Karen Hallett, Director of Instructional Consulting and Adjunct Professor, I.U. School of Education
