Lecture summary
Instructions
Once per week, at the end of a lecture each student will be required to write, in class, a summary of the lecture. Students will not know until the end of class whether they will be required to write a summary of that day’s class. Each student may use his/her own notes to prepare this summary. Only the major points covered in the class should be included in the summary. Summaries will be handed in to me, and they will be graded. Each summary will count 1% of the final grade. There will be 10 of these summaries graded during the semester.
If a summary receives a grade below 70%, either due to being factually incorrect or so badly written that it is difficult to interpret the information, then the student will be required to revise the summary and had it back by the next class. The maximum grade that can be received on a summary that requires revision is 70%.
