1. The minutes of 25 June were approved as amended.

2. Geoff Conrad informed the committee of the possibility that President Brand would attend a PC meeting in the fall as the result of an invitation extended to him.

3. The committee spoke with staff members of the Archives of Traditional Music about the proposed restructuring of Folklore/Ethnomusicology. Also the committee decided it is crucial that John McDowell, Chair of the Folklore Institute, distribute the proposal to all affected units and faculty members.

The meeting adjourned at 11:00 a.m.
