Present: Judith Anderson (Chair), Simon Brassell, Tom Busey, Debbie Cohn, Nick Cullather, Sandra Dolby, Jeff Hart, Dale McFadden, Brian Steensland, Rick Van Kooten, and Maxine Watson.

Our meeting began at 2:05pm.

Today’s meeting was a special meeting to elect officers for next year. Jeff Hart was elected Recorder for the year, and for the fall semester, Tom Busey was elected Chair; for the spring semester, Dale McFadden was elected Chair. The new officers will assume their posts on July 1.

The members of the CPC for 2007-2008 are Sandy Dolby, Jeff Hart, Dale McFadden, Tom Busey, Nick Cullather, Brian Steensland, Debbie Cohn, Rick Van Kooten, and Maxine Watson. As of July 1, they will be the voting members, and they are the ones who were eligible to vote for officers today.

In addition to electing officers, the committee noted continuing concerns, such as MOUs and NTTs, and new issues that might be pursued in the coming year.

Judith reported that the search committee for a new provost now includes a faculty to represent the Humanities. We received emails about adding to the committee in this highly desirable way, as probably have other bodies.

The meeting was adjourned at 3:00.
