1. The minutes of 21 January were approved as amended.

2. James Craig reported that the COAS Dean Search committee has sent its report to Chancellor Gros Louis. A second round of visits by the finalists is now in the process of being set up.

3. The Nominating Committee reported that the slate of candidates for COAS Policy committee election should be complete by the time of the next meeting on February 4. The election will be held via the web in late February or early March.

4. In its capacity as the Budgetary Affairs Committee of the College, the committee discussed the issue of unfunded mandates from the trustees and their deleterious effects on budgeting and operations for the campus.

5. The committee continued its discussion of the Gender Studies program and its request to become a department.

6. The committee discussed possible revisions of its constitution to bring it up to date.
