Building New Space for Science Research

Indiana University in Bloomington has embarked upon an ambitious building program to create much-needed space for interdisciplinary research in the sciences. The recently completed Simon Hall was dedicated on October 16 and ground was broken for a second multidisciplinary science building in September. College of Arts and Sciences Dean Bennett Bertenthal said, “These new interdisciplinary science buildings are essential for attracting the very best scientists and students in this increasingly competitive market. They are a symbol of IU's deep commitment and dedication to interdisciplinary science. The completion of Simon Hall is but a beginning to our investment in the life sciences."
